Reunited after years apart, Rose and her father, Arthur, try to piece together the fragmented memories of their troubled relationship. But Rose’s attempts to uncover the secrets of their past, and find out who she truly is, meet only resistance from a man reluctant to reveal himself.

Hywel John’s play Rose was first staged at the Pleasance Courtyard, Edinburgh, in 2011.
