A tender portrayal of two women trying to start again after serving their time in prison.

On her release from prison, Lorraine heads straight to Marie’s. On the inside they used to share everything, but the friendship that once protected them now threatens to smother the fragile freedom they have found.

Chloë Moss’s play This Wide Night was first performed at Soho Theatre, London, in August 2008, in a production by Clean Break, the theatre, education and new writing company that works with women whose lives have been affected by the criminal justice system. It was revived, in this revised version, at Soho Theatre in November 2009.
